Editorial Assistant, Time Out Sydney

Are you a recent graduate looking to kick-start your journalism career? Do you live to make the most of what your city has to offer?

Time Out is looking for a full-time junior content creator for this exciting entry-level position in Time Out Sydney’s editorial team. We’re on the hunt for young-gun writers who love discovering the hidden secrets of Sydney and seeking the best new places to eat and things to do. We’re looking for someone who is proud to live in Sydney (warts and all) and feels strongly about encouraging others to feel the same.

We need someone who is ready to jump into our fast-paced Sydney editorial team and hit the ground running. You’ll be working with our Sydney Editor and Associate Editor on covering the best of what’s on in Sydney right now, from click-worthy news pieces to sparkling features for print and digital. You’ll be given on-the-job training in managing social media, crafting commercial content and contributing to quarterly magazines.

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated and team-oriented, with a desire to work with senior editors to grow as a writer. Experience in writing or editing will be looked upon favourably, particularly in lifestyle journalism.
