Following a successful 2018, Time Out Australia is looking to expand the Sydney sales team with the addition of a few new roles at both account executive and account manager levels to sell across our stable of digital, social, print and experiential products. If you love your city, getting out, maximising your experience and not afraid to get your hands dirty then this could be the job for you. Account Executive, Sydney

Someone who is beginning their career in sales (ideally at least 1-2 years experience) with an entrepreneurial, creative and adventurous sales style to join a fast-paced media environment.

We are looking for people with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, hungry to make an impact in both direct and agency relationships.

Role summary:

  • Timely brief responses including seeking out proactive opportunities
  • Ongoing relationship management and new business development opportunities
  • Ability to achieve both monthly and quarterly KPIs set by Commercial Director
  • Ability to use and use to your success all internal CRMs
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing workplace
  • Ability to network, see new opportunities and respond in a competitive, fast-paced environment

1+ years experience within media sales is preferred, and a current client network across both media buying agencies and direct clients would be viewed favourably.

Account Manager, Sydney

You will have at least 2+ years experience in a media sales role. You are ready to progress to the next stage of your career by operating with greater autonomy and will bring with you a network of clients developed over the past 2 years.

Role summary:

  • Engage and strategise with client companies and media agencies to demonstrate how working with Time Out will drive awareness, consideration and sales
  • Meet with your clients and agencies every week (5-10 meetings per week)
  • Ongoing relationship management and actively seek new business development opportunities
  • Establish the Time Out brand and story with advertisers
  • Timely respond to briefs and actively pitch proactive opportunities to both agency and direct client bases
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets both monthly and quarterly KPIs set by Commercial Director
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Ability to use and use to your success all internal CRMs
  • Deliver excellent account management both internally and externally
  • Ability to excel in the ever-changing workplace and ability to work well with internal relationships within the business
  • Embody strong networking skills, ability to seek new opportunities and respond in a competitive, fast-paced environment

You must be a lover of your city, love working in a diverse environment and embrace the Time Out lifestyle across all areas of your life. A good knowledge of the Sydney bar and restaurant scene is not essential though would be viewed favourably, together with the Sydney Arts and music industry.
