Group Account Manager, Time Out Sydney

The company

About this role

Time Out Australia is looking for a Sydney commercial leader who would be responsible for securing revenue growth and maintaining commercial client relationships across both the direct and agency core business landscape. They would be specifically responsible for the overarching state revenue, strategy and for managing the wider local team.

We are seeking an energetic, fun, fearless sales professional who lives, breathes and loves Sydney. The successful applicant will lead a team, manage senior partnerships, prospect for new business, implement strategy, develop staff and maintain core commercial relationships across both direct and agency.

This role requires a minimum of five years media experience as well as excellent communication skills and sector knowledge. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Take full sales ownership of the state commercial function including managing a local team, a key business sector and deliver revenue, growth and partnership opportunities
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop strong stakeholder relationships
  • Work with management on wider commercial and audience strategy across the business
  • Understand Time Out and its audience in order to collaborate with teams across the business to drive revenue potential

Previous experience:

  • 5+ years sales experience across the lifestyle, media sector
  • An excellent track record implementing and executing successful campaigns
  • Existing relationships across the industry
  • An understanding of key sales and digital marketing tools

Time Out Australia is looking to expand the Melbourne commercial team to sell across our product suite. We are seeking energetic, fun, fearless sales people who live, breathe and love Melbourne. The successful applicant will be responsible for securing revenue, client growth, managing partnerships and maintaining commercial client relationships across both direct and agency.

This role requires a minimum of three years media experience as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills and sector knowledge. The primary tasks include prospecting for new business, maintaining existing business, client service and driving the full sales cycle.
