2020 has been a mixed start for many in the sectors in which we operate, between extreme weather events and the complications of the NovelC-2019 virus.
For those whose businesses operate in the Sydney market, there is at least one source of optimism following on from the lifting of lockout in the Sydney CBD and Oxford St precincts mid January.
It's not a flick the switch exercise as we all know. But while we await further announcements from the NSW Government the next best thing comes via the way of the City of Sydney grants program. If you haven't already please consider your eligibility for a grant and apply prior to 9 March 2020. Here's the skinny!
The following grants are available:
Night Time Diversification grant - provides matched funding to support new events and activities to help businesses attract customers in the evenings
Live Music and Performance - provides matched funding for capital works to grow and enhance the quality and quantity of programming.
NOW to 9 March 2019.
Who can apply?
Open to not-for-profit organisations, for-profit organisations or social enterprises operating in the City of Sydney local area.
What businesses can apply for?
Businesses can apply for up to $30,000 matched cash funding for projects. This means if the project is successful the City of Sydney will match what the business spends over the course of the project dollar-for-dollar up to $30,000.
