Meet the team: Annie Porter

Time Out’s new Group Account Manager is passionate about small business and believes the key to a successful client relationship is transparency and the ability to listen.


What do you do all day at Time Out?
I work with clients and agencies to help grow their businesses by creating partnerships that live across the Time Out site, social channels and activations. 

How are you making the most of your time now Sydney is coming back to life?
I have been exploring every inch of Surry Hills and surrounding suburbs. Walking around, trying new cafés, bars and restaurants. I feel very lucky to have it all at my doorstep.

What made you join Time Out?
I love media and I love food and wine. Time Out is the perfect combination! I am also really passionate about small business, specifically hospitality, and see huge value in being part of a company that understands and supports this industry.

What international destination will be your first to visit when the border restrictions ease?
Italy. For the pasta.

Favourite bar, restaurant, neighbourhood in Sydney?
Favourite bar is P&V Merchants in Paddington, favourite restaurant has to be Ester, but it’s a very close call with Café Paci, and favourite neighbourhood is definitely Surry Hills.

My favourite cafe is my husband’s place in Redfern - Three Williams Cafe. I can’t wait for truffle season to start (first week of June.) The menu is looking mouth watering!

Do you have a personal motto?
Do what you say you’re going to do.

A good campaign should have?
Great results! A good campaign creates impact for a client and helps grow/improve their business.

Top tips for a successful client relationship?
Be honest, transparent and listen.

Trying out Shaffa – a new Middle Eastern restaurant for a friend’s birthday.
