Wine tasting, restaurants and Star Wars – these are a few of the favourite things of Time Out’s new commercial director
What do you do all day at Time Out?
Direct our amazing sales team to drive new business and grow Time Out’s client relationships across our industry.
How are you making the most of your time in Sydney and Melbourne now that our cities are coming back to life?
Lots of visits to restaurants and wine establishments. I love dining out and enjoying the diverse cuisines that we have access to in our fantastic cities.
What made you join Time Out?
The opportunity to grow our sales team to become the industry-leading lifestyle sales team in Australia. We will absolutely achieve this!
Do you have any national or international travel plans on the cards?
Yes – New Zealand in 2023 for a wedding and a lot of wine tasting. This year, the mid-north coast of NSW. My husband and I visit every year for a fishing competition with friends.
Favourite bar, restaurant, neighbourhood in Sydney/Melbourne?
Sydney: Saint Peter on Oxford Street. Josh Niland is next level and a lovely guy – I have been visiting since he opened. Melbourne: Osteria Ilaria. Fantastic Italian, and some of the best Italian wines on the list. I visit every time I am in Melbourne. I am also a wine-bar fanatic. P&V Merchants, Monopole and 10 William Street are my fave wine bars in Sydney. Whenever I’m in Melbourne, feel free to take me out to your favourites!
Do you have a personal motto?
As I am a massive Star Wars fanatic, it’s a quote from Yoda that resonates for me in my life: “Do or do not, there is no try.”
A good Time Out campaign should…
- Deliver on all KPIs that our clients have set for their campaign.
- Be creative and forward-thinking in message delivery.
- Be relevant to our audience so we drive engagement.
Best tip for clients?
Patience! Sometimes it takes a bit of time to create amazing solutions. Seeing now what solutions we are creating, this patience will be well worth their wait!
Plans this weekend?
Resting up this weekend because the next two weekends I am in the Hunter Valley for the new shiraz vintage release long lunch and after party for Thomas Wines, and the week after a private sneak peak of the relaunch of Mount Pleasant Wines’ new cellar door and upcoming vintage.
