A major international award has recognised “a transformative year for an iconic brand"
Previously known as the British Publishing Awards, the Campaign Publishing Awards took place during a virtual ceremony on Wednesday June 17. Time Out was victorious against a field of finalists that included CNBC International and Financial Times.
The award recognised the success of Time Out Group’s Time Out Market strategy in 2019, “a transformative year for an iconic brand”.
“Time Out is dedicated to getting people to go out better in cities all around the world,” the Campaign Publishing Awards spokesperson said.
“By diversifying from print via digital to the physical space of Time Out Market, they opened five new markets, resulting in new growth in revenue.”
The judges said this was “an incredible achievement and a truly original extension, which revitalises this truly famous brand”.
Time Out Market brings together a city’s best food, drink, shopping and entertainment under one roof. In 2019, Time Out Markets opened in Miami, New York, Boston, Montreal and Chicago.
The Time Out Market in Lisbon, meanwhile, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Portugal.
