You like us, you really like us: Time Out is up for three major prizes in the local publishing industry’s answer to the Oscars.
Time Out Australia has been nominated in three categories in the Mumbrella Publish Awards 2021.
The awards, which recognise excellence in consumer and business publishing in Australia, announced their nominations for 2021 on Thursday August 5.
Time Out Australia was again nominated for Publishing Company of the Year, an award which we won in 2020.
In addition, Time Out Australia scored a nomination in the prestigious category of Brand of the Year.
Finally, Time Out Melbourne’s branded content series with Visit Victoria, Click for Vic, was nominated as Best Publisher-Led Advertising Campaign. Time Out’s work with Google was honoured with a nomination in the same category in 2020.
“I’m very proud of what our small team has achieved this year, these award nominations mean so much to us all,” said Time Out managing director, Elise Bucholtz.
“We won two Mumbrella Publish Awards last year as well as a Highly Commended, and we’re humbled to be nominated again in 2021.
“We are dedicated to giving the best service to our clients and to keeping our audience informed and entertained, whether ‘In’ or ‘Out’. Time Out aspires to be the ‘Soul of the City’ and in difficult times that mission is more important to us than ever.
“We are enormously proud of our Click for Vic campaign and the work we did with Visit Victoria promoting regional and Melbourne-based businesses during lockdown last year.
“Time Out’s editorial projects Love Local and Future Shapers are further examples of the helpful and optimistic content that we are devoted to bringing to our audience, and we are grateful for the support these projects attracted from City of Parramatta Council, Campbelltown City Council, Maribyrnong City Council, City of Port Phillip, City of Boroondara and Remix Summits.
“There may still be challenges, change and chaos in the world right now but Time Out is there for our cities, our readers and our clients and we strive to ensure that passion is across all of our touch points.”
Run by the marketing and media industry news website Mumbrella, the Mumbrella Publish Awards are judged by a large panel of figures drawn from the local industry.
This year’s award winners will be announced on Thursday September 9 during a live streamed ceremony hosted by Dan Ilic.
